Watches from Apples and Arsenic

Big Pilot Omega Wristwatch

This is a large men's wristwatch conversion from an antique Omega pocket watch. The movement and dial are original to the piece, with the dial being refinished, and both fitted to a stainless steel case with wire lugs so that a strap may be fitted and worn on the wrist. This is in the style of the traditional military B-Uhr big pilot's watches of the 1930's. The serial number indicates the original watch was produced in the 1930's, with the conversion carried out some time later. Appears to be a well-done conversion and the manual wind Omega movement runs as it should. May be fitted to a NATO strap or one with opening end pieces suitable for fixed bar/wire lug style watches.
